Here’s a short video on how to pull more leads into your lead funnel each week with simple, effective forum marketing.
Setup: Find three to five forums in your business area using simple Google searches. Register on each. Answer posts. Set up a signature block that includes a link back to your lead funnel. (see Marketing 101 if you forgot what that was.)
Daily: Look through new posts on each forum. Answer ones you feel you have some expertise in. Feel free to do a little google research to provide some value if you don’t know much but would like to. Sometimes, I just do a google search using a specific term and tell them what term to use if it pulls up some good articles on the topic of interest. Try to answer posts as one of the top 5 to 10 replies. That way you will get seen and read more. That is also why you need to visit the forum daily.
Time: Takes about 15 to 30 minutes per day. Well worth your time to get free leads!
Monthly: Evaluate the forums you are visiting to see if you are getting your worth from them. Search out and join other good forums if you can fit in the time. Consider advertising on the forum (paid) if you think it really fits your business and has lots of people you would want in your lead funnel.
Does it work? In a word; YES. Back in 1998 I was working with a new telecom company (CDI Telecom) (that still pays me monthly for work I did back then… Gotta love MLM) and I started visiting a forum that someone else set up for it. Being a quick-learning student of the business and its services, I had ‘all the answers’ or would call the company to find out and post them on the forum before anyone else. Lots of folks joined my CDI Telecom business BECAUSE they saw me in the forum as the expert. (This was before the days of my gaining knowledge about the value of a ‘lead funnel’.)
Lesson: Get started in forum posting today and become known as an expert in your field.
